Early end to the season for Nina Ortlieb

After a serious crash in training in Crans-Montana, Nina Ortlieb’s winter season and World Championship hopes have come to an abrupt and early end. On Wednesday the 20th of January 2021, the 24-year-old from Lech suffered injuries to her right knee including damage to her cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, lateral meniscus, and patellar tendon. Nina was flown by helicopter to the nearest hospital in Sion. After the depressing diagnosis, Nina was transferred to Schruns where she will be operated without delay.
