The sommelier and the maker of Wacholderbär, Christian Auer, and the winemaker, Clemens Strobl, working together with the Ski Club Arlberg, developed their own edition of gin this summer. The perfect recipe emerged after several tastings with the club’s managing committee. Alongside juniper, the main botanicals used are gentian, thyme, rosemary, fennel, and cardamom. This noble drop is distilled by no less than the Gölles distillery in the south east of Styria.

“Raw and wild like the Alps, with balanced spices on the palate, a delicate play of aromas of herbs and spices, and a fine fresh finish” is how Christian Auer describes the newcomer. “All the ingredients of the Austrian London Dry Gin are exclusively organic”, Auer continues.

“We look forward to this exciting cooperative effort, because within just 3 years, Wacholderbär has developed into one of the most important and successful brands in the highly competitive gin market”, commented Ski Club Arlberg President, Josef Chodakowsky.

The new Gin Edition will be available soon in the SCA shops in St. Anton and Lech, as well as at:
The distributor for this product will be Morandell International.
